PURPOSE: A remote control system of home appliances connected to a home hub and method thereof are provided to execute functions of a home gateway by remotely controlling a personal computer through the home hub according to the needs of a service server. CONSTITUTION: A web server controls a home hub. The web server provides various additional services. A database stores service information, log information, home hub information, and user information. An application server executes a registration procedure through the client information of a client management server based on the home hub information. The application server remotely controls home appliances connected with the home hub. The application server provides a resource management function.
