Fabrics are coated by roll-milling on to a textile support a mix comprising an amorphous elastomeric ethylene-propylene copolymer, immersing the coated support in a bath containing organic peroxide solution and curing it. The mix which may also be extruded to form pipes, cables, insulating sheaths &c. may include carbon black and sulphur, be coated on to a cotton cloth and then immersed in an acetone bath at 40 DEG C. containing tetra-chloro tert butyl peroxide removed and dried and finally cured at 150 DEG C. for 30 minutes. Amorphous copolymers of ethylene and a -olefins are described in Specifications 856,733, 856,736 and 856,737.
