<p>PURPOSE: An information processing apparatus, a method thereof, and a computer program memory are provided to perform an operation with empty hands of a user by detecting contact of proximity state of an external object to a sensor. CONSTITUTION: If an external object contacts a detection surface, a sensor detects a contact state of the external object. The sensor detects a proximity state of the external object. A process circuit processes the contact state as a proximity state in a first mode. The process circuit processes the contact state in a second mode.</p> |
