[Also in Division G2] In an intermittent film feed device, a claw lever 15 having a cam follower 19 thereon engaging a cam 25 under spring loading is pivotally mounted at 16 on a second lever 17 pivoted about a fixed pin 18 and having itself a cam follower 21 engaging under spring loading the same cam 25. The device operates as follows. On rotation of the cam in an anticlockwise direction about its spindle 26 and starting from the position of Fig. 1 in which claws 15# on the lever 15 engage perforations in the film 14, the lever 15 is pivoted anticlockwise about the point 16 to advance the film in the guides 42, 43, the lever 17 is pivoted anticlockwise about pin 18 to remove claws 15# from the film, the lever 15 is pivoted clockwise for the return stroke and finally lever 17 is pivoted clockwise to re-engage claws 15# with perforation in the film-as shown in full lines in Fig. 1. Guides 42, 43 are provided with slots to accommodate the claws 15#. During the return stroke of the claw lever, a movable toothed platen 11 of a film perforator 10 (operating in synchronism with the cam) engages the film. |
