[Also in Division H2] A terminal block for clipping to an asymmetrical rail comprises two parallel plates, e.g. 2, spaced apart by a web 5 and by webs 22 which house the terminals. A spring 1 having a lip 23 at one end and thereafter having a progressively decreasing radius of curvature is housed between the plates 2, passing behind the web 5; and retained by a struck-out tongue 18 engaging one side of web 5 and a cylindrical resilient plastics stud 24 which at the assembly stage is forced between the tip 1b of the spring and the web 5. The block is inserted into the rail 3 initially in the position shown and then pivoted upwards. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the spring is in the form of a pair of internested elements.</p> |
