PURPOSE: A refrigerator equipped with an automatic defrosting heater is provided to minimize the inner temperature rise of a refrigerator and remove frost covering an evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises an evaporator(13), a defrost heater(14), a sensor unit(15), and a control unit. The evaporator cools the adjacent air by coolant evaporation. The defrost heater is composed of a first heating unit(141) and a second heating unit(142). The sensor unit is composed of a first sensor portion and a second sensor portion(151, 152). The control unit controls the operation of the defrost heater according to the temperature of the surface temperature of the evaporator. The first and second sensor portions are related with the operation of the first heating unit and the second heating unit respectively. |
