<p>PURPOSE: An LED driving unit having a light-out detection function is provided to prevent malfunction due to an error by accurately detecting the light-out of an LED traffic signal. CONSTITUTION: An SMPS circuit unit changes AC power into specific DC voltage. A central processing unit receives the DC voltage from the SMPS circuit unit and outputs LED control signals or detection signals for channels connected to LEDs. A driving output unit drives the LEDs connected to the channels according to the LED control signals. An error detection unit detects an error by measuring voltage applied to the channels connected to the LEDs. A shift resister receives the signals for the channels from the central processing unit according to clock signals. A latch unit maintains signals outputted from the shift resister.</p> |
