Ester compound of formula (CH 3(CH 2) 4(CH(CH 2) 2)-CH 3)CH-(C(=O)-O-R) (I), excluding 2-propylheptyl-2-propylheptanoic acid ester, is new. R : 1-36C alkyl (optionally substituted with 3 OH groups). Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (I); and (2) a cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical compositions (II) comprising at least (I), at least an emulsifier, surfactant, wax component, polymer and/or a further oil body. |
