METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING A FRAME OF CONTINUITY CHECK MESSAGE FOR OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT

PURPOSE: A CCM(Continuity Check Message) frame transmission method for OAM(Operation And Management) is provided to maintain OAM performance by creating CCM error information related to the change of an OAM connection state. CONSTITUTION: A packet transfer system sets an MEP(Maintenance End Point) connection for OAM(200). The packet transmission system establishes an MIP(Maintenance Intermediate Point) on a specific node of a connection path(210). The packet transmission system receives CCM error information and OAM connection state change information from the MEP(220). The packet transmission system executes a protection switching function by referring to the CCM error information and the OAM connection state change information(230).
