PURPOSE: An available bandwidth measurement apparatus in a satellite network is provided to accurately measure available bandwidth in a network including huge transmission delaying time by eliminating elements regardless of traffic states of a forward direction path. CONSTITUTION: When stored packet is transmitted and received through a packet transceiver(200), a measurement unit(500) stores the measured time in a storage unit(400). The measurement unit measures available bandwidth based on stored RTT(Round Trip Time), the reception time of a transmission time interval ACK(Acknowledgement) packet based on the transmission time of the packet, and transmission time interval between packet pairs calculated based on the transmission time of the packet.
