PURPOSE: A method for searching for software component and a method for supplying description about searched software component are provided to increase productivity by determining conformance about a current condition of the component based on a component selection experience. CONSTITUTION: A knowledge-base(130) stores case-based knowledge data for component search. A case generator(110) receives the query of a user and generates a target case. An inferring unit(120) calculates similarity between the target case and a solving case. An outputting unit outputs a case search result. A case-base updating unit(180) updates data by searching for the solving case.
