PURPOSE: A cover for a tap hole of a blast furnace is provided to prevent deterioration and delamination of refractory materials caused by scattering of molten iron. CONSTITUTION: A cover(A1,A2) for a tap hole(110) of a blast furnace(100) comprises a body(2), refractory materials(4), a steel plate(22), and a metal liner(5). A spray cooling unit(3) is formed inside the body. The refractory materials are attached to the interior of the body. The steel plate is attached to the exterior of the body. The metal liner is installed in a part of the steel plate. Hot molten iron, which scatters, collides against the metal liner and doesn't directly contact the refractory materials.
