PURPOSE: A clothes drier capable of preventing fire accidents, and a controlling method thereof are provided to turn off a hot air supplying device when the temperature inside a drying space continues to the constant temperature for the predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: A clothes drier capable of preventing fire accidents comprises the following: a main body(100) having a drying space for drying clothes; a hot air supplying device supplying hot air into the drying space; a sensor(160) detecting the temperature inside the drying space; and a controller removing a signal from the sensor for controlling the hot air supplying device. |
