PURPOSE: A touch panel including a mesh forming unit on a wire electrode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce material and process costs in forming a wire electrode by including a mesh forming unit on a wire electrode. CONSTITUTION: A transparent electrode is formed on a substrate. A wire electrode(40) connects the transparent electrode. The wire electrode includes a mesh forming unit(41). The mesh forming unit is formed in line width of the wire electrode. The mesh forming unit includes a mesh line(41a) and a mesh opening(41b). The mesh opening unit has a diamond, polygonal, or circular shape.
