PURPOSE: A beam band assignment apparatus in a multiple spot beam satellite system and method thereof are provided to determine assigned band per spot beams according information for the collected spot beams. CONSTITUTION: An initial value establishment unit(410) establishes initial values. A band assignment target spot beam determination unit(420) collects information for plural spot beams. The band assignment target spot beam determination unit determines band assignment target spot beams. An assignment band calculator(430) determines a band assigned to the band assignment target spot beams according to the collected spot beams. A band assignment information transmission unit(440) transmits each band information as a control signal to a satellite.
