PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling charging distribution of sinter materials are provided to quickly control charging distribution of sinter materials to a target level by regulating the feeding distribution of the sinter materials in a lateral direction at the side of a dividing gate before charging the sinter materials into a carriage of a sintering machine. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling charging distribution of sinter materials comprises the steps of: supplying sinter materials(3) through dividing gates(2) from a surge hopper(1) to a carriage of a sintering machine, measuring the charging distribution of the sinter materials in the lateral direction of the carriage, calculating control values for individually operating opening/closing units of the dividing gates from the charging distribution of the sinter materials, operating the opening/closing units according to the calculated control values, and controlling the charging distribution to a target level.
