PURPOSE: A method for determining voice/sound using MDCT(Modified Discrete Cosine Transform) coefficients is provided to configure and apply determination factors using encoded MDCT coefficients, thereby efficiently determining voice/sound. CONSTITUTION: An MDCT analyzing unit defines MDCT coefficients for determining voice/sound based on sectional information about encoded MDCT quantization coefficients and information about the encoded MDCT quantization coefficient(S100). The MDCT analyzing unit calculates feature values and adaptive threshold values for determining voice/sound using the defined MDCT coefficients(S150). An input determining unit determines whether encoded data are sound data or voice data based on the feature values and the adaptive threshold values(S160). |
