PURPOSE: A personal EPG(Electronic Program Guide) service providing device in a personal portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to supply customized content to a person. CONSTITUTION: A collection data storage unit(140) stores collected metadata/keyword/tag information. An optimized content list extracting unit(160) analyzes EPG information, personal information, and the information stored in the collection data storage unit. The optimized content list extracting unit assigns a weighted value to the analyzed information. The optimized content list extracting unit extracts a content list. A personal EPG generating unit(170) generates a personal EPG for a priority using the extracted content list.
