PURPOSE: High-strength high-manganese steel is provided to obtain high-manganese steel with superior strength by securing uniform martensite structure at relatively low cooling speed while reducing the contents of carbon and alloy elements. CONSTITUTION: High-strength high-manganese steel comprises C of 0.06-0.1wt.%, Mn of 5.0-8.0wt.%, Si of 0.05-1.0wt.%, Mo of 1.0wt.% or less(0 is exclusive), and Fe and inevitable impurities of the remaining amount. The high-manganese steel has a microstructure including martensite of 90 areawt.% or more, where the average size of crystal grains is 30μm or less. |
