PURPOSE: A repeater and signal relay method therefor are provided to determine signal transmission and reception method based on channel information in a repeater. CONSTITUTION: A determination unit(221) determines states of a link between a signal transmission apparatus and a repeater based on one or more channel states from a repeater(220), a signal reception unit(230), and signal transmission units(211~213). A decoding unit(222) receives signals of the linked signal transmission unit. The decoding unit decodes the received signal. A transmission unit(223) transmits the decoded signal to the signal reception unit.
