PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a pulse in a UWB(Ultra Wide Band) system is provided to reduce the die area of a semiconductor main body and manufacturing costs by reducing the number of transistors. CONSTITUTION: An all-digital pulse generator(100) includes a plurality of delay cells(110) and an edge synthesizer(120). The plurality of delay cells is serially connected. The delay cell generates 20 delay signals from pulses modulated by PPM(Pulse-Position Modulation). The edge synthesizer receives the plurality of delay signals generated from the delay cell. The edge synthesizer generates a plurality of minute pulses for delayed time. The edge synthesizer forms the plurality of generated minute pulse with a single impulse signal. The edge synthesizer is composed of a plurality of exclusive AND elements, a plurality of AND elements, and a plurality of OR elements.
