PURPOSE: An anti-obesity composition containing a Canavalia gladiata fermentation is provided to remarkably lower body weight. CONSTITUTION: An anti-obesity composition contains: a fermentation prepared by sealing a mixture of Canavalia gladiata and an ethanol solution and fermenting at room temperature(20-30°C) for 50-70 days; or a fermentation which is prepared by sealing the mixture at room temperature for 50-70 days, and maturing at low temperature(3~10°C) for 40-50 days. The composition additionally contains Zanthoxylum ailanthoides leaf extract. The ethanol solution contains 20-40%(v/v) of ethanol. The composition is a pharmaceutical or food composition. A composition for diet contains the fermentation as an active ingredient.
