PURPOSE: A sensitivity and state transmission method in communication and system thereof are provided to enable a user to confirm calling purposes of opponents or the telephone number of the opponents in the absence of the user. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal stores emoticon tables. The portable terminal deducts emoticons corresponding to the inputted short cut code from the emoticon table when the defined shortcut code is sensed in the selected state of a telephone number. The portable terminal transmits the telephone number of the receiver with the deducted emoticon through a communication channel. The emoticon table includes the emoticons.
