MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HYDROPOBIC SILICA AEROGEL POWDER WITH INSULATING PERFORMANCE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing hydrophobic silica aerogel powder with a heat insulating function is provided to replace expensive silica aerogel powder by obtaining both hydrophobicity and a heat insulating function. CONSTITUTION: Silica sol isprepared based on water glass or alkoxy silane(S10). Silica gel is prepared by mixing and stirring the silica sol with gel generating powder(S20). The surface of the silica gel is hydrophobized(S30). The surface hydrophobized silica gel is dried at atmospheric pressure to generate silica aerogel power(S40). The alkoxy silane is one selectedfrom tetra ethoxy orthosilicate, tetra methyl orthosilicate, and alcohol trialkoxy silane.
