FUEL CELL SYSTEM USING METHANE HYDRATE FUEL

PURPOSE: Fuel cell system is provided to generate power without special equipment by using methane hydrate as fuel, thereby reducing installation and operation costs for fuel supply. CONSTITUTION: Fuel cell system modifies water and natural gas to hydrogen or methane through internal reformation or external reformation and generates electrical energy through the chemical reaction of modified hydrogen and methane with air inside the fuel cell(30). The fuel cell system comprises: a fuel supply part(10) generating methane and hydrogen from methane hydrate; an air supply part(20) supplying air necessary for electricity generation, and a fuel cell(30) generating electrical energy by receiving methane or hydrogen and air from the fuel supply part and the air supply part(20).
