PURPOSE: A stop switch device of an engine of a working machine is provided to allow the starting of a diesel engine when an operation unit is covered by a cover. CONSTITUTION: A stop switch device(30) of an engine of a working machine comprises a switch body(31), a cover(37), a lock mechanism, an operation unit(47), and a retaining unit. The switch body has a case(32) and a lever(33). The case receives a switch therein. The lever operates the switch. The cover opens and closes the lever. The lock mechanism locks the cover at a covering position. The operation unit moves the lever from a first operation position to a second operation position. When the operation unit is covered by the cover, the retaining unit retains the operation unit at the second operation position. |
