<p>PURPOSE: A glow plug with a load sensing sleeve surrounding a heating rod outside a combustion chamber is provided to provide signals dedicating the pressure of a cylinder without any interference from a mechanical connection between a sensor and the heating rod. CONSTITUTION: A glow plug with a load sensing sleeve surrounding a heating rod outside a combustion chamber comprises a heating rod(11), a plug body(13), a mounting unit(48), and a load detecting sleeve(17). The mounting unit horizontally moves the heating rod from the plug body. The heating rod is mounted to the mounting unit to ensure impermeability between the heating rod and the plug body. The load detecting sleeve encloses the proximal end(50) of metal tubes around the heating rod in the proximal end(51) of a housing. The load detecting sleeve is directly next to the mounting unit in an axial direction.</p> |
