PURPOSE: A method for preparing hydrogen gas is provided to improve the purity of the hydrogen gas by eliminating carbon monoxide from exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide and separating the carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing hydrogen gas includes the following: exhaust gas is exhausted from an iron making process, and carbon monoxide is eliminated from exhaust gas containing 10-15% of hydrogen, 20-40% of carbon monoxide, 20-30% of carbon dioxide, and the remaining amount of nitrogen by adding moisture(S33); carbon dioxide is separated from the exhaust gas without the carbon monoxide; and the exhaust gas without the carbon dioxide is reformed(S37).
