ARRANGEMENT METHOD OF TRANSVERSE STIFFENER AT STOOL

PURPOSE: An arrangement method of transverse stiffeners for a stool is provided to arrange transverse stiffeners for a stool at optimal intervals, and to omit brackets locating in parts that contact an inner bottom plate. CONSTITUTION: An arrangement method of transverse stiffeners is as follows. Transverse stiffeners(2) of a stool(1) for supporting a watertight barrier wall dividing a cargo tank of a ship are installed not in a vertical direction but a horizontal direction. If the transverse stiffeners are installed in the horizontal direction, the transverse stiffeners can be arranged at optimal intervals(L2) regardless of the intervals(L1) of longitudinal stiffeners(5). Accordingly, the transverse stiffeners do not contact an inner bottom plate(3) and adding brackets is unnecessary, thereby reducing design costs of the stool.
