PURPOSE: A slag foaming accelerator is provided to improve a slag forming effect by reaction gas wherein the slag foaming accelerator floats on the interface between molten steel and slag during reaction. CONSTITUTION: A slag foaming accelerator, which is put into an electric furnace to accelerate the forming of slag, is mainly composed of iron oxide and carbon. The accelerator reacts in the interface between molten steel and slag due to the specific gravity of the accelerator being less than that of the molten steel and greater than that of the slag. |
