PURPOSE: A method for fabricating aromatic polyamide fibers is provided to ensure water absorption and wear resistance. CONSTITUTION: An aromatic polyamide fiber for an optical cable water proof contains 10-50 wt% of polyurethane-based binders and a coating layer containing an absorbent for absorbing 2 times or more weight of water. The absorbent is acrylic polymers. The coating layer also contains stabilizing agent with an antioxidant. The antioxidant includes phenol, sulfur, and phosphorus antioxidant. |
