Invention herewith described belongs to the field of chemistry and refers to the procedure to obtain means for fire prevention impregnation of porous materials and deep fire extinguishing of so-called smouldering fire in peat land, coal and municipal waste landfills.The subject invention solves the technical problem of obtaining the mixture which by a special procedure performs the fire prevention impregnation of wood and wood products, corrugated packaging cardboard, textiles made from natural materials, and other solid porous materials, and which can also be applied successfully to deep fire extinguishing of so-called smouldering fire in peat lands, coal dumps and municipal waste landfills.This is achieved by the subject mixture containing the anhydrous magnesium chloride (MgCl2) and wetting agents dissolved in water at the exact weight ratios and subjected to the impregnation, followed almost immediately by coating of the treated substance with hygroscopic material layer which has fire prevention properties and acts as a fire retardant. |
