Invention herewith described refers to the wire spring core for mattresses and furniture, and the process of the manufacturing thereof. The wire spring core (1) according to the invention comprises Bonnell coil springs (2). The springs (2) are arranged in columns (3) and rows (4) so that each spring (2) is connected at eight points with the neighbouring springs (2) from the same row (4) and the adjacent columns (3). Between the rows (4), the two adjacent springs (2) in the same column (3) are connected to the spiral coupling (8.9) at the points of the contact (7). In the rows (4) of the wire core (1), the coil springs (2) are arranged so that each spring (2) is connected with the both adjacent springs (2) in the same row (4) at four points. In one row (4), the springs are alternately connected by ‘’lacing up’’ and the coil (12).
