PURPOSE: A vocal melody intense apparatus and a method thereof are provided to reinforce a vocal melody for various kinds of music by reinforcing vocal melody through inherent characteristic of the vocal melody. CONSTITUTION: A frequency converting unit(120) converts a plurality of frames into frequency domains. A parameter extracting unit(130) extracts vocal to accompaniment size ratio about the frames. A parameter comparator(140) selects an index frame of a plurality of frames.
