PURPOSE: A decision feedback equalization apparatus based on LMS(Least Mean Square) training using channel estimation and a method thereof are provided to simplify complexity by using an LMS training algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A decision feedback equalization apparatus(100) comprises a channel estimation unit(110), an LMS training unit(120), and a decision feedback equalization unit(130). The channel estimation unit obtains channel estimation. The LMS training unit estimates a forward filter coefficient and a backward filter coefficient based on LMS training using the channel estimation. The decision feedback equalization unit equalizes a received signal by applying the forward filter coefficient and the backward filter coefficient estimated through the LMS training unit.
