METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OPERATING A POWER GENERATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and system for operating a power generation system are provided to rapidly respond to a symmetrical or asymmetrical fault current and minimize a line loss and a power conversion loss. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light collector units(102) comprise one or more photoelectric cells(124) and a collector side single phase inverter(122). The plurality of light collector units are combined with a multi phase AC load. A system controller(108) controls the operation of light collector units. A grid side inverter(104) is combined between a load and the collector side single phase inverter of the plurality of light collector units. The collector side single inverter includes a memory unit(178) which stores an operation parameter.
