<p>A method of managing a group of dairy animals is disclosed. In the method each animal can be recognized individually by means of an animal identification system, the animals are milked and fed with an individual ration. The milk yield from each animal and amount of feed consumed is recorded. Subsequent individual milk yields are estimated by means of a model on the basis of the collected data. For one or more animals, at least one of the individual rations and the milking of individual dairy animals are adjusted in a regulatory step under application of a precondition. An example of a precondition is a that predicted feed balance of an individual dairy animal is higher after the regulatory step than the realized feed balance prior to the regulatory step. Another example is that for the group as a whole, the sum of predicted feed balances of individual dairy animals after the regulatory step is larger than the sum of realized feed balances prior to the regulatory step. The invention also provides a device and a computer program arranged to perform such a method.</p> |
