PURPOSE: A three-dimensional image display device and an operating method thereof are provided to supply natural three-dimensional effect and to prevent degradation of resolution while implementing super-multiview. CONSTITUTION: M to first image pixels are arranged on an image panel(140). The image panel irradiates two-dimensional image information. A parallax barrier(120) is arranged between an image panel and a viewer. The parallax barrier divides left-eye and right-eye images. A controlling utni(160) controls the parallax barrier and the image panel.
