PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to increase adhesive force with an electrode by forming an LEL(Light Enhancement Layer) consisting of a fluorescent substance or a fluorescent film between electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(B) is arranged on a substrate and comprises a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, and an active layer(130) which is placed between the first and second semiconductor layers. A light transmitting electrode layer(150) is formed on the second semiconductor layer. A first electrode is formed on the light transmitting electrode layer. A first LEL(Light Enhancement Layer)(180) is made of an insulating material between the second semiconductor layer and the electrode. A part of the first LEL layer is attached to the light transmitting electrode layer.
