<p>The invention relates to a process for preparing two-dimensional photonic microstructures written by laser on the surfaces of chalcogenide glass alloys based on arsenic and sulphur. According to the invention, the process consists of a first stage of preparation of a chalcogenide glass surface by polishing a plate of chalcogenide glass AsSor AsSand cleaning the same with a suitable solvent, followed by rinsing in deionized water or by depositing a thick layer of AsSor AsSby using the vacuum thermal evaporation method or the pulsed laser deposition, PLD, followed by washing with a solvent and washing off with deionized water; a second stage wherein the sample is fixed on a computer-controlled micrometric table; the third stage wherein the pulsed Ti:Sapphire laser beam is focused on the sample in a spot; a fourth stage wherein the irradiation parameters are chosen so as to obtain a photonic structure with columns or channels, the column formation being the result of the photoexpansion phenomenon specific to chalcogenide glass material.</p> |
