The invention relates to a process for coating carbon steel with several non-toxic organic-inorganic composite layers based on zinc and polypyrrole for increasing the resistance to corrosion of the steel. According to the invention, the process consists of a first electrochemical deposition, in the zinc coating bath, of a zinc layer with a thickness ranging between 10...12μm, followed by the deposition of the polypyrrole layer by using the potentiostatic electropolymerization of a sodium tartrate 0.1 M solution wherein there was added pyrrole as monomer of a purity > 98% in a concentration of 0.5M and Milli-Q deionized water, the electropolymerization duration being of 20 min, at a working potential between 2.4...2.8 V.
|
