The cloth passes over a plate 31 having a recess 49 containing a suction aperture 46 and a pivoted cutting blade 51, operated by the sley 3, that passes under and cooperates with an adjustably fixed blade 61. The suction, intermittently operated by the sley, depresses the fabric edge and weft ends into the aperture 46 so that, when the blade 51 is actuated, the cut ends are drawn away.</p> |
