<p>Removing carbon dioxide (CO 2) contained in a combustion fume comprising acid compounds, comprises (a) contacting, in an absorption zone (C1), a gaseous effluent (1) with an aqueous absorbent solution comprising 5-90 wt.% of water, 5-90 wt.% of at least one amine and 5-90 wt.% of at least one carbonyl compound, (b) regenerating the absorbent solution loaded with CO 2in a regeneration zone (C2) so as to release the CO 2in gaseous form and to obtain a regenerated absorbent solution, and (c) recycling the regenerated absorbent solution in step (a).
