<p>A process for the purification of an alkenone ether having the general formula (I): CF3-C(O)-C(H)=C(H)-OR wherein R is a C1-C4-alkyl group; or a C1-C4-alkyl group which is substituted by at least 1 halogen atom, aryl, substituted aryl,which comprises (a) subjecting a first fraction comprising said alkenone ether, water and optionally organic impurities to a liquid/vapour separation operation and (b) recovering from said liquid/vapour separation operation a fraction F containing purified alkenone ether, having reduced water content compared to the first fraction.</p> |
