<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid occurrence of power consumption on an image formation device side when list information on the documents stored by the image formation device continuing power saving operation is confirmed on an external device side. <P>SOLUTION: When a compound machine 100 shifts to a power saving mode, the stored document list information managed within the compound machine 100 is subjected to broadcast distribution to the external device 200(S302). The external device side for receiving the stored document list information holds the received stored document list information (S312), and meets a request for confirmation of a stored document performed via the user I/F of the external device 200 on the basis of the held stored document list information.
