<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device of an escalator which can announce for calling attention to a maintenance operator during maintenance operations. <P>SOLUTION: A maintenance switch 21 is operated when the maintenance operations start to start a drive control means 31. Operating switches 22 and 24 and pause switches 23 and 25 are operated during maintenance operations, operation and pause of an electric motor 4 of a drive device 3 of an escalator 1 are instructed to the drive control means 31, and the drive control means 31 operates and pauses the drive device 3. An operation determining means 32 determines whether the number of repetitions of the operation and pause of the drive device 3 reaches a given number, an elapsed time determining means 33 determines whether a given time elapses after the drive control means 31 is started by the maintenance switch 21, and when it is determined that the given number or given time has been reached, a speaker control means 35 outputs an announcement for calling attention to a speaker 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
