<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire tread having abrasion resistance, driving stability and processability improved over conventional levels while reducing rolling resistance. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the rubber composition produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber with 0.5-6.0 pts.wt. of polyethylene glycol having a weight-average molecular weight of 9,500-25,000, 5-40 pts.wt. of carbon black and 70-120 pts.wt. of silica having a DBP absorption of ≥190 ml/100 g, a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 194-225 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g and a CTAB specific surface area (CTAB) of 180-210 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g. The compounding amount, Wc weight%, of a silane coupling agent and the compounding amount, Ws parts by weight, of the silica are set to satisfy the following relationship: Ws×(CTAB/160)×0.06≤Wc≤Ws×(CTAB/160)×0.15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
