PLATING ASSISTANT, PLATING LIQUID, AND PLATING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating material whose slidability is enhanced by imparting lubricity to a surface plating film and which has good wear resistance and good contact reliability.

SOLUTION: A plating assistant contains a capsule which encloses lubricating oil having a kinematic viscosity, at 40°C, of 100 mm2/s or less and which includes an outer wall of a resin or an inorganic material. The capsule has an average particle diameter of 1 μm or less and when the diameter of the capsule is denoted by d and the thickness of the outer wall is denoted by t, the ratio t/d of the wall thickness to the diameter d is not less than 1/100 and less than 1/2.
