<p>The present application provides a self-seeding fiber laser device comprising: an array waveguide grating (AWG); a gain medium coupled to a branch port of the AWG; a Faraday rotator mirror (FRM) coupled to a public port of the AWG, for use in reflecting a partial optical signal emitted by the gain medium and forming an injection light to be returned to the gain medium. The gain medium, AWG, and FRM constitute a laser harmonization chamber, wherein the AWG executes wavelength screening in the laser harmonization chamber, thereby enabling the medium emission wavelength to be locked at a wavelength channel corresponding to the branch port; a compensation device coupled to the gain medium, for use in selectively supplying the gain medium with a compensation current on the basis of the power of the injection light. The present application also provides a driving method for a self-seeding fiber laser device and a passive optical network (PON) system and device employing the self-seeding fiver laser device.</p> |
