<p>The method involves directing microphones (2) of a microphone array (1) on an object (4). Sound pressure signals are evaluated to derive sound source positions and sound source strengths. The object is arranged within a closed testing environment for receiving the sound pressure signals, and an inner chamber of the closed testing environment is filled with a medium. The sound with velocity is propagated in the medium as in air, and the sound source positions and sound source starch are displayed on a display unit (6). The medium is selected from gas such as xenon, chlorine or bromine, and solid material such as gum and soft PVC.</p> |
